Institutional Research – EMEL 3

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a news review from the independent, they talk about the september 2005 issue. The reviews they have given it are good, the magazine went mainstream and they suggest that this was the first glossy Muslim Lifestyle magazine in britain, they suggest that it went mainstream simply due to popular demand, they also suggest that this an opportunity for Muslims to integrate with other cultures as they are seen as the 'other' and the 'outsider', this is a chance for the true Islam to come out and for diverse members of the audience to learn about Islam, they also suggest that it is aimed at all types of audience from Muslims, to Non - Muslims, women and men. This is very similar to my magazine and this is why i am choosing this media institution to base my magazine on, their ideologies are very similar to mine, both the representation and the ethics they consider are excellent, this is why i beleive that this makes a good media institution for my magazine.
