IDEA: One

My initial idea was to make a radio clip, i was inspired by the radio show LBC 97.3 and particurlarly by presenters such as Nick Abott and Clive Bull. I initially intended to base my production on that show, i chose this radio station because it was different to any other, due to the fact that it was a talk show and because they do not play music, unfortunately i was forced to change my idea due to the lack of equipment. If i was to pursue this choice i would have had to use a video camera and possibly convert the file into MP3 format, however the problem with this would have been that the sound quality of the finished article would be effected, so i chose not to go ahead with it.

IDEA: Two

My second idea was to make a documentry on a young man who had just become a professional footballer at the age of 19 and his route to becoming a professional, i wanted to represent my ideas by looking into his past, his homeland (LIBYA), what football means to the people of Libya and what life was like in Libya. I was going to take some clips whilst i was on holiday over there in the summer of 2008. I wanted to take some footage of children playing on the streets and footage of the professional whilst training in Libya, i also wanted to find out what the conditions were like, etc... I believe that this was a good idea as it would not only show people the roots of a young persons steps to becoming a professional, all of the obstacles that he had to tackle and how challenging it is to become one, but it would denote the culture and background of that young man as well, these are all generic concentions of a typical documentry.

IDEA: Three

My third and final idea was to create an islamic magazine for both the Non - Muslim and Muslim audience, my ideology is to try and educate people about the true Islam and to proliferate the true Islam and not the stereotypical view that people may have about the religion. I will be targeting my magazine at all age groups and all types of audiences. I am a Muslim myself and i will try to utilize my knowledge of Islam to show people the truth about Islam in the simplest form possible so that they put my magazine down and go away wanting to learn more about Islam. I must also consider ethics when producing this type of magazine, i must produce a magazine which depicts Islam in the correct way and be careful not to offend musilims by potraying it in the incorrect manner. I also believe that many people are affected by cultural imperialism and i wish to change this. I believe that this is a good idea simply because the particular genre is really unheard of and this is why i wanted to try and make this type of magazine.
